Happy Autumn to all of you!

The 2013/2014 season of the History Centre is going to be an exciting one.

As of October 1, 2013 the History Centre is over 60% booked with almost all available dates, in 2014, reserved. If you are considering booking your class for a History Centre program, November is the last month remaining with choice selection.

New for the 2013/2014 season are session specific pre and post program activities. You can find the Grade 5 Connections to the Law and Connections to the Land session activities here. From decoding secret messages to remembering artifacts hidden within our 1875 – 1885 North West Mounted Police Fort, our curriculum programmer has designed activities that aim to engage all learning styles while preparing students for their History Centre adventure.

You can stay up-to-date on all of the latest History Centre news, sports, and weather by staying tuned to this news page or checking out Fort Saskatchewan Museum & Historic Site’s Twitter feed under @MuseumFortSask (click on our Twitter button, at the bottom of our website). In the mean time, if you have any History Centre related questions, please contact Cherise Elliott at museumprograms@fortsask.ca.

We look forward to seeing you, this season.

"Our field trip was very well organized and full of interesting activities. Our presenters were prepared for our arrival and showed interest in the activities that they were leading. I would have no hesitation in recommending this field trip to colleagues. It was a very informative and interesting day."
